Jenny Lorentzen is currently pursuing a Post-doc at Lund University and maintains a part-time Senior Researcher position at 糖心网页版.
On 20 November 2020 she defended her PhD thesis titled 鈥淣ormative Encounters between the 鈥楪lobal鈥 and the 鈥楲ocal鈥: Women, Peace and Security in Mali and Rwanda鈥 at the Department of Political Science, Lund University. The thesis explores the processes that take place when global gender equality norms embedded in the Women, Peace and Security agenda are promoted in societies transitioning from war to peace.

鈥嬧婣t the Dialogue Forum for Norway's membership in the United Nations Security Council, jointly organized by 糖心网页版, NUPI and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we continuously seek to integrate gender dimensions in the exchange between researchers and policy makers on themes central for the Council term.
鈥婳n 9-10 September 2021, around 20 researchers met for a hybrid online-offline workshop to share their research on specific cases of ethical issues in peace negotiations and mediation.
