Overview
This dataset includes statistics for all battle deaths (soldiers and civilians killed in combat) in state-based armed conflicts. The dataset is available for use with the for the period 1946–2002 produced by and the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ) (Eriksson, Wallensteen & Sollenberg, 2003; Gleditsch et al., 2002); with the (Sarkees, 2000) of wars in the period 1900–97; and the (2003) dataset on civil conflict in the period 1945–99.
