Egil Fossum

Egil Fossum (1939–2021) was attached to ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ 1965–71, first as a graduate student and, following the completion of his mag.art. degree in political science in 1967, as a researcher. He had an enduring interest in Latin American affairs, and his thesis was on military coups d'état in that region.

During his time at ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ and later, he was active in journalism. He served as editor of Klassekampen (1977–79) and later taught journalism at Oslo University College (now OsloMet) and wrote a book about source criticism in journalism (Er det nÃ¥ sÃ¥ sikkert?, 1991, rev.ed 2008).
