Lion Kircheis is a Doctoral Researcher at the Research Group for International Politics and Conflict Research at the University of Konstanz under supervision of Professor Nina von Uexkull and ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ Research Professor Halvard Buhaug. He is affiliated with ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ through the POLIMPACT project, which is co-funding the doctoral project. Lion's research interests lie broadly in the determinants and consequences of violence and conflict, with a particular emphasis on climate change, its mitigation, and environmental factors. Exploring these intersectionalities, he employs quantitative methods, geographical data analysis, and statistical modeling.
