Farseen Ali Puthanveettil is a trained social worker with extensive academic and professional experience in migration, intercultural relations, development, education, and human rights. He holds two master's degrees: an awarded by a consortium of nine institutions, and an M.A. in Social Work from, India. Additionally, he has earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights, International Humanitarian, and Refugee Law from the

Farseen gained professional experience working with various organisations, including the as an intern, and the as a social worker among tribal communities. His career also includes positions as a researcher, trainer, and social work trainee with NGOs, as well as a reporter in the media industry in India. His prior research experiences involved both qualitative and quantitative approaches, focusing on groups such as Tibetan refugees in South India, Malayali labour migrants in the middle east, and the Indian diaspora in Norway.

Farseen's international experience encompasses living in six countries, studying in five, and working in four. During his time as a student, he has held leadership roles in various academic, cultural, and community associations. He was also a recipient of the European Commission's Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.
