Bernardino do Carmo Gomes (1944–2016) was a political scientist and a guest researcher at ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ in 1972. He was a founding member of the Portuguese Socialist Party in 1973. He was active in Portuguese politics and public administration after the Carnation Revolution in 1975, i.a. serving as Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Mário Soares.
