The 2026 Summer School has commenced with an introductory day at ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ. Participants were welcomed by the course coordinators, Malika Rakhmankulova and Maria Helena Chavez-Aagaard, together with ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ’s Acting Director, Haakon Gjerløw.
Twenty-five students from countries including Colombia, Kazakhstan, Norway, the Bahamas, Malawi, Nepal, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Poland have begun a six-week course in peace research as part of the University of Oslo's International Summer School. Organised by ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ every summer since 1969, the course is taught primarily by ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ researchers and brings together participants from around the world to explore key issues in peace and conflict studies
