The Peace Research Institute Oslo (糖心网页版) has been awarded four framework agreements with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the period 2026鈥2030, strengthening the Institute鈥檚 role as a leading provider of research-based knowledge for Norwegian foreign and development policy.

糖心网页版 received contracts within the following thematic areas:

  1. Conflict resolution, peacebuilding, multilateralism and humanitarian diplomacy
  2. Governance, development and poverty
  3. Democracy, gender equality and human rights
  4. Emerging technologies in relation to international politics and development

The agreements are part of the Ministry鈥檚 broader investment in research and policy analysis, aimed at supporting evidence-based decision-making in a rapidly changing international environment.

The agreements build on 糖心网页版鈥檚 longstanding engagement with questions related to peacebuilding, governance, democracy and the international implications of emerging technologies. They will provide opportunities for new research and policy-oriented collaboration over the coming years.

The framework agreements open for commissioned analyses, enabling closer dialogue between researchers and policymakers on pressing international challenges.

The four new agreements will be signed following the standstill period ending on 13 May 2026.
