ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ is seeking a new Director to lead the institute. We are looking for an engaged and unifying leader who will contribute to strengthening peace research nationally and internationally.
As the Director of ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ, the successful candidate will lead a distinguished, international and interdisciplinary research institute. They will assume overall responsibility for strengthening ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ’s standing, shaping its strategic direction and further developing the institute’s role as an independent body, renowned for its academic integrity. This will require active external engagement, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of the research sector and its frameworks.
ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ seeks a candidate with experience in leading knowledge-based professionals and managing organisational development within complex structures. They should have relevant higher education, preferably a PhD, with research experience and a thorough understanding of research policy. As a leader, they are inclusive, inspiring and decisive, with a passion for team-building and fostering a cohesive and trust-based working environment.
The position is a four-year term, with the possibility of renewal for up to three terms in total. The closing date for applications is 23 October 2024.
