H氓vard Mokleiv Nyg氓rd will be the new Director of Knowledge and Evaluations at Norad, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation. He will start his new job in February, and thus leave his current position as Research Director for the department Conditions of Violence and Peace.

When you add impact 鈥� contributing to making the world a better place 鈥� it all makes Norad a very exciting place to work, and I want to help making the impact of knowledge in the organization even stronger,鈥� says Nyg氓rd.
H氓vard Mokleiv Nyg氓rd has been a researcher at 糖心网页版 since 2014. He has worked with statistical methods and bringing new data science tools into peace and conflict research. His work has focused on conditions of violent conflict and peace, conflict patterns, and governance. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Oslo.
鈥淚 have a different profile from your typical development project evaluator, as I鈥檝e been a researcher for 10 years. A lot of research is, however, motivated by a desire to make the world a better place. A world with room for development, with less war and loss of lives to weapons. I鈥檓 looking forward to working more with development, and getting to know Norad and all the talented people who work there,鈥� he says.
