Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Georgetown Institute of Women, Peace and Security and ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ celebrated the launch of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Index today.

The WPS Index, which received widespread attention when it was showcased at the United Nations a few weeks ago, is developed jointly by the GIWPS and ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ, and was funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Torunn Tryggestad, Deputy Director of ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ and Director of the ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ Centre on Gender, Peace and Security, bid welcome before the Foreign Minister gave her address. Jeni Klugman of the GIWPS and Marianne Dahl of ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ also gave presentations before a panel consisting of distinguished guests and ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ Director Henrik Urdal provided comments and participated in a Q&A with the audience.
