The pioneering peace researcher died in her home in Massachusetts 24 June. A sociology scholar, but also an organizational pioneer, she was co-founder of the (IPRA), and leader of the (WILPF). She was instrumental in founding the peace studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as at Dartmouth College.
