Anders Bratholm, Professor of Law at the University of Oslo, and an important individual for the foundation of ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ, passed away on 8. July 2010, 90 years old. Bratholm played an essential role in the foundation of ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ. Bratholm was also a major supporter of the Institute for Social Research (ISF), where ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ was first established as a department in 1959. He was part of the informal circle referred to as the gentlemen club (‘herreklubben’), alongside Torstein Eckhoff (1916-93; also Professor of Law at the University of Oslo) and Einar M. Hauglie (colonel in the Norwegian Army).
