Authoritarian practices, conflict, repression and inequality are placing human rights under unprecedented strain across the globe. In this address, Agnès Callamard will explore today’s most pressing human rights crises, and the possible pathways to hope and recovery. At this critical moment when human rights are being threatened and trampled on, her insights offer a roadmap for action and change.

Agnès Callamard will join ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ at 16.00 on 15 January 2026 for ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ's Annual Peace Address, sharing her unique experience from decades working as a human rights campaigner and advocate.

The address will be followed by a conversation between Agnès Callamard and , Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Oslo, and Special Advisor at the Norwegian Human Rights Institution. The conversation will be moderated by ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æâ€™s Director, Nina Græger.
